According to experts, jogging backwards burns more calories than jogging forwards, a fifth more in fact. The reversal can supposedly strengthen the heart, lungs, muscles and joints.

Timothy Badyna, a backwards marathon runner claims that “your balance increases. Your hearing increases. Your peripheral vision increases.”
