What’s your Real Age?

Site News, Tips 1 Comment »

logo.gifWhat is your real body age? Chronologically, I’m 27 years old, but the short questionnaire at the RealAge website said that my biological age is 28.5 years old. It goes into a lot of detail when calculating your body age, from how often you wear a seat belt, how fast over the speed limit you drive, what diseases or physical difficulties you have, to how often and how long you work out, and how often you eat your fruits and veggies. Then it also offers to help you build a plan and offers suggestions to lower your body age. Apparently, my intake of lycopene is low, I should reduce the amount of red meat I eat weekly, and get a pet dog, amongst a plethora of other suggestions I should do to make my biological age lower than my chronological age. Overall, I would say that these are pretty good tips to take into consideration to help you lead a healthier and better quality lifestyle. What did you think about the body age analysis?

Got a new look

Site News 1 Comment »

I’ve been writing this blog for a little over a year now and even though I still look about the same as before, I think it’s time the site got a new look.

We’re moving away from our beer-holding blonde spokeswoman to a man who has half of his body in great shape and the other half not so great.  Actually, the image represents a transformation that I’ve yet to achieve.   I’m feeling pretty good about the new look, hopefully it’ll re-energize my workouts again.  Feel free to let me know what you think!

Goodbye Beer Belly

Site News No Comments »

My beer belly came to me as a by-product of college life and I don’t need it anymore. I’m tired of having to suck in my stomach when in prescence of women, tired of being breathless when I climb a flight of stairs just to reach the 5th floor, tired of feeling the need to recharge my batteries throughout the day, tired of not looking good in anything I wear, tired of seeing my stomach turn into a mellon-sized lump of fat as I sit here typing away.

I’ve always had a bit of trouble keeping a regular workout routine ever since I started college 5 years ago. In order to change my lifestyle to be more healthy and consistent, I’ve decided to create a blog recording the progress of getting rid of my beer belly and getting back into shape.

An exciting and interesting journey is planned and I look forward to sharing my own personal quest with you!
